Members of Guria LAGs Discuss Tourism Development in the Region

The members of the Ozurgeti, Chokhatauri, and Lanchkhuti Local Action Groups (LAGs) continue to actively engage in local development as part of the ongoing “Green Guria – Supporting Local Democracy and Rural Development for Inclusive and Resilient Green Growth” project, supported by the European Union.

The Guria LAG members have initiated the development of a local development strategy. During the third working meeting dedicated to this strategy, LAG members identified tourism as a priority topic. During the working meeting, Guria LAG members highlighted the needs, challenges, and development perspectives of tourism in the Guria region. As part of the session, a SWOT analysis was conducted.

The “Green Guria – Supporting Local Democracy and Rural Development for Inclusive and Resilient Green Growth” project is implemented by CENN in cooperation with partner organisations: the Young Pedagogues’ Union, the Institute of Democracy, and the Local Action Group of KEDA (LAG), supported by the European Union within the European Neighbourhood Program for Rural and Agricultural Development ENPARD IV.
